Male survivors do not always know where to reach out to for support in their healing journeys. BARCC is here to support male survivors, and we’re excited to team up with MenHealing to offer a powerful experience: FREE Days of Recovery—coming to Waltham on June 8 and Boston on June 9.

Registration is now open.

These FREE one-day healing events are
co-facilitated by ex
pert BARCC clinical staff and MenHealing clinicians. Days of Recovery are designed to help male survivors develop a conscious relationship with difficult emotions that many sexual trauma survivors experience.

Registration is open to all male survivors of sexual violence (experienced in childhood and/or adulthood)—including cisgender and transgender men—age 18 and older in Massachusetts.

Throughout the day, participants can expect to learn or use the following:

  • Mindfulness skills
  • Body awareness and empowerment
  • Experiential activities
  • Small- and large-group processing

If you’re a male survivor looking for a deeper connection to yourself and other male survivors, this free day of healing is for you.
If you have any questions, please e-mail

Facilitators for this event are made up of both male and female therapists; Bella Alarcon, Sharon Imperato, Shadi Johnston, Ernesto Mujica, Kenton Kirby, Matt Stella, and Jim Struve.

You MUST be a Massachusetts resident to attend this FREE event. For more information about this event, please read a blog posting from the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center:
