This foundation assists America’s wounded service members from all military branches and their families adjust to the effects of their experiences and to help them transition into what may be looked at as their ‘new normal’ – providing an understanding and acceptance of who they are a s a person, a family, and a community. Services are provided to individuals with injuries such as: Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS), Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI), Chronic Pain, Military Sexual Trauma (MST).
Protect Our Defenders honors, supports, and gives voice to the brave men and women in uniform who have been raped or sexually assaulted by fellow service members. They seek to fix the military training, investigation, and adjudication systems related to sexual violence, system that often re-victimizes survivors by blaming them while failing to prosecute perpetrators.
The mission of this organization is to increase awareness about the power of yoga and meditation and to educate a network of professionals qualified to share evidences-based practices that support the health and healing of service members, veterans, and their families.
