BARCC provides free, confidential support and services to survivors of sexual violence ages 12 and up and their families and friends. We work with survivors of all genders, and our goal is to empower survivors to heal and seek justice in ways that are meaningful to them. We meet the needs of survivors in crisis and long after, and we also assist them as they navigate the health-care, criminal legal, social service, and school systems.

CIBC is a program of the Ontario Government’s Ministry of the Attorney General, Victim Services Secretariat (OVSS). This program offers financial compensation for victims of crime in Ontario, designed to cover both “pain and suffering” and costs of treatment and rehabilitation. Survivors of sexual abuse can be considered for financial compensation. OVSS operates a 24/7 Victim Support Line.

The National Resource Center for Reaching Victims

The National Resource Center for Reaching Victims is led by the Vera Institute of Justice, and is a collaboration among Caminar Latino, Casa de Esperanza, Common Justice, FORGE, the National Children’s Advocacy Center, the National Center for Victims of Crime, the National Clearinghouse on Abuse in Later Life, and Women of Color Network, Inc. The vision of the National Resource Center for Reaching Victims is that victim services will be accessible, culturally relevant, and trauma informed—and that the overwhelming majority of victims will access and benefit from these services.
