Completion of a Level 1 Weekend of Recovery is a prerequisite for attending an Advanced Weekend of Recovery.
Going Deeper
Survivors are resilient and have developed the ability to feel better and experience safety, self-worth, intimacy, and freedom. But difficult emotions, such as shame, guilt, depression, anxiety, anger, and many others, may continue to challenge survivors by shutting them down and trapping them in unhealthy patterns.
The Advanced Weekend of Recovery helps participants develop a conscious and healing relationship with these difficult emotions – a relationship characterized by exquisite self-compassion, self-respect, and self-direction. Similar to Level 1 WOR, participants will utilize mindfulness skills, body awareness and empowerment, experiential activities, music, art, outdoor exploration, movement, play, and small-group processing to reach these goals.
The Advanced WOR is longer than a Level 1 WOR. We begin the program on Friday morning at 9:00 am and end at 2:30 pm on Sunday. Each year’s Advanced WOR has a unique theme.
