MenHealing Launches Video Project

“Beyond Survival: Voices of Healing” will feature brief videos (2 – 4 minutes each) that highlight the healing journeys of male survivors. MenHealing has completed 5 initial videos and we will release one new video weekly from April 17th thru May 15th. Videos will be posted on a new YouTube channel, and distributed thru FaceBook. We will be adding a video page to the website soon.  We encourage you to circulate these videos to others you know who may be interested.

If you are a male survivor and would like to participate in this project, check the instructional  video that provides more information about how you can submit material. Our Video Production Manager will format your material into a finished product.

For more information or to discuss you interest in this project contact Jim Struve.

2019 WOR/DOR Events Update

Registration is open for the two Day of Recovery healing retreats scheduled for June 8th in Waltham, MA and 9th Boston, MA. Both DOR events are FREE to any male survivor who is a resident of Massachusetts.

Registration is open for the 2019 Advanced Weekend of Recovery that will be conducted at Alta, UT. on August 9th – 11th . The theme for this year’s Advanced WOR is “Calming the Conflicts Inside: Tools for Self-Compassion and Healing.”

We do not want cost to be a barrier for anyone to attend any of our retreats. 20 - 80% scholarship grants and underwriting discounts are available this year for both triple and double occupancy room selections at all Weekends of Recovery. ALL events have scholarships available; reducing tuition to as low as $160 for the entire weekend.

Thanks to those of YOU who have already contributed to MenHealing during April. We invite more of you to consider how YOU can take one action step to honor Sexual Assault Awareness month by supporting MenHealing/WOR

Four (4) suggestions for ways YOU can provide meaningful support:

  • Forward information about MenHealing to one or more other people and help us add new subscribers to our list serv
  • Support the WOR Retrospective Survey: If you are a WOR/DOR Alumnus and have not yet enrolled, we welcome your participation and feedback – enroll during April; if you’ve already enrolled, send the information to any other WOR Alumni you know and encourage them to enroll

  • Give to MenHealing thru passive support: designate MenHealing as your charity when shopping through companies that give a percentage to charity. For more information

  • Donate: help us achieve our goal of engaging 30 new recurring sustainer donors (of ANY amount) during April - join us if you are not already a recurring sustainer donor; help us find additional donors if you are already contributing. n

Thank YOU in advance for any action you take that supports the mission of MenHealing/Weekends of Recovery during the month of April.

Thank YOU

…to the many recurring monthly financial donors to MenHealing.

One man’s healing contributes to generational and cultural social change; YOUR financial contribution supports the empowerment of a larger community of survivors.
